Completely untrue. He started as Ganondorf, leader of the Gerudo tribe. After taking possession of the Triforce of Power, he gained the ability to become Ganon, the physical demonic manifestation of his personality and desires. He is greedy and self-serving, wanting only to provide for his own being. Therefore, becoming a warthog-like monster fits his personality perfectly. He was born as Ganondorf, he earned the ability to become Ganon later.

Seriously, I have no idea where the hell you got that from. There's not a single game in the series that suggests what you just said.

All I know is on the A Link To the Past (GB) he was called Ganon/Gannon?...before any Ganondorf. Although I was like 6 when I beat that...

Chronologically, Ocarina of Time is the first game in the series. It was released a decade after the original game, but it's where the entire plot starts from, nonetheless.

THATS CRAAZY. They just kept going back as they made them. Although w/ some of the games it doesn't really seem like they tie in at all. I mean ya all the story lines are the same basic thing, but like in Wind Waker your not even playing Link.

It's not the same Link in every game There are at least five different Links and five different Zeldas throughout the entire series. Link and Zelda are reborn every few-hundred years to counteract the re-emergence of Ganon (it is the same Ganon in every game, however). Here's how it works.

So, like I said, there are at least five of them. The Link from Oracle of Ages and Seasons might not be the same as the kid from OOT and MM, and the Link from Minish Cap might not be the Wind Waker kid. On top of that, the Link starring in the new game (coming out this winter) might be an entirely new Link. So, there is a minimum of five and a maximum of eight.

Shigeru Miyamoto, Satoru Iwata and Mr. Aonuma (the director of the last few Zelda games) have confirmed the multiple-Link/Zelda theory. It's because they are tied to the Triforce. Ganon has the Triforce of Power, Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom and Link has the Triforce of Courage. As long as one of those "avatars" remains alive and kicking, so will the other two in order to maintain balance. So, every few hundred years, when Ganon re-emerges from exlie/slumber/limbo, Link and Zelda are reborn ahead of time in order to counteract his return.

This entire process began in Ocarina of Time, when Ganondorf attempted to take possession of the Triforce. His mind and spirit were not in proper balance when he touched the Triforce, therefore, it split into it's three individual parts. Ganon recieved the piece that he was most in tune with (that being Power), while the other two pieces sought out their most worthy possessors in Hyrule (Zelda being the avatar of Wisdom and Link being the avatar of Courage). Since then, the souls of Link and Zelda have been permanently fused with their respective Triforce peices. There will always be a Link and Zelda.

So, no, you are completely incorrect. Link is Link, regardless of the way he looks. You play as Link in every game, and despite differences in appearance, it's always the same guy.
