You can tell it's fake because screenshots don't generate blur at any speed.

Some games have "motion blur" as an effect, how do you know that this isn't one of them?
In any case, you could tell from the way that it was added to the character races screen and the fact that this would be an absolute customer service nightmare for Blizzard:
"Hello?....No, sir, I cannot change your partner assignment on your two headed ogre...no, there's nothing I can do, sorry, goodbye."
"Hello?....No, mam, I cannot change your partner assignment on your two headed ogre...no, there's nothing I can do, sorry, goodbye."

I actually had a lengthy conversation with a friend on the whole issue (if it were to be implemented). There are only a few changed that need to be made for it to be effective. As well, upon launch, one could simply make 5 two-headed ogres, (if 5 is the character max per server... possibly 10) and play the one with the partner whom you believe is the least retarded.

Anyhow, I was mad that it was an April Fool's joke. This could have really been a great innovation, but Blizzard just managed to piss off a lot of people.

I honestly think it would of been stupid... you would have to wait for someone else to create one for your character to be active... and can you play it when they aren't on? Things like that just made it seem more of a hassle than fun

But it would be something new, and who knows, SOME people might have had fun.

And the goblin tinkerer would have been kickass.

If the other player wasn't logged on, the other head would be asleep, and you would walk with a limp animation.

But that's for not logged on. Since the name of the creature is derived from the names of the heads, two players would be neccesary before gameplay could start since the entity would be without name untill that point. Allowing the entity to exist with just the name of one head untill the other showed up would be bad, since the identity would be lost. What would be the worst is if two players got the same ogre that were always on at different times; due to no communication, items would always be dissapearing, the character would always be in just the wrong place upon login, etc. Also consider the situation where the other head has been abandoned, and thus is not leveling up, not adding to the max hp, not anything, where the whole point was to have two people. Any way you look at it, the only way it could work is if people were hand paired, and that would be expensive (pay for people that do the pairing)
