I bet it is possible. Otherwise, why would they make a barb only hat that allows werewolf? That would null all his abilities and skills other than duel wield. Which means he should have just made a damn druid.

You can't use any Barb skills when you transform into a Werewolf. You can only use the Feral Rage that comes with the Helm as well.

But You don't have to transform into a Werewolf.

That helm was made as a relic or a link in d2's story of how babas begot druids. Check the arreat summit, under classes, there's a little description.

Transforming into WereWolf gives the barb more life and huge leech bonus. Also the bonus of using a 2 sword + shield.

Which is quite good and not stupid. But yes... no WW ability
