what are some funny/cool things your teachers did while you were in school? what about fun projects you undertook? share w/ zelaron the nostalgia of the old days.

---------------------------------
my dad is a teacher for wood shop, and everyone was talking... so he attached a whistle to the air pump and let 'er rip! after a while no one but one kid would talk incessantly. so when my dad would take out the whistle, everyone but this one guy would clap their hands over their ears and my dad would walk right up behind the kid and blast him right next to his ears!

Going back to the early years of primary school...the whole school has assemblies in the main hall. Everyone sat down, we sang hymns - there was an old piano, and the headmaster coupld play it amazingly well. He sat down, found his page, and played...yet he never looked at the music or his hands.

But anyway, if anyone was naughty he made them get up, walk to the front, and he sat them on top of the Piano. We were all little shrimps, so it was rather scary.

One lad was yawning a lot, so he made him get up and run 50 laps round the school field.

Wasnt any of my teachers but 2 teachers who were about to retire played an halloween joke. Or was it april fools I dont remember. My school was under construction at the time and they had just erected this huge pointy overhang on the main enterence. It ended in a sharp tip and everyone thought it looked fucking stupid. The two teachers jacked a cherry picker and took a flamingo up there and stuck it at the point for all to see.

Aaah. Chemistry in highschool. I had the luck to have one of the best teachers in the school. He was funny as all hell. In the beginning of the school year my assigned seat was in the front row, and at the beginning of class he sat up on the lab table in the front of the room almost directly in front of me. He was talking about something...don't really remember what, when out of the blue his leg from his knee down fell clean off. It hit the floor rather noisily, and he just looked down at it and said "Well...that wasn't supposed to happen." He then proceeded to put it back on. This was before I knew he had a prosthetic.

Later in the year he gave us a lesson on "How to check if your fly is open". Very...very amusing. He also had a set of GI Joes that he did horrible experiments on in class as well. One of them went into corrosive acid...another was set above a bunsen burner...another he tied to a rocket...

He was so fuckin' cool.

Sounds like an ex-teacher at my school. I never had him, but he was a Biology teacher.

There's all sorts of stories.

He used to drew giant penises on the bored when he was board. Humped a filing cabinet for 5 minutes, proving a point...he even took sides when a fight broke out in the middle of class.

Aaahm...No. My teacher was nothing like that. He was actually very good at teaching chemistry, but he was just a bit...easily amused by minor senseless destruction.

I'm pretty sure he never drew penis's on the whiteboard...or humped a filing cabinet...

Everyone is amused my mindless destruction.

When we start at the Grammar school, we have an open night where we get to know everyone. And little things about each person are read out. I can guarantee you, that every single lad has something about "likes blowing things up" in their description.

I remember one of my teachers was at the blackboard and all of a sudden got the urge to scratch himself. Well, he forgot that chalk was on his fingers and white dust marks were all over his pants, but he didnt notice. He walked around class asking whats so funny because we were all laughing, but noone answered. Well, eventually, another teacher came to borrow something, and falls over laughing. She, now crying, tells him to "EXAMINE HIS PERSONAL ZONE" and he flips out. He sat there wiping away at his crotch for at least 5 minutes and needless to say, he got the name, Mr White and Wipes
