That's freerunning, its pretty popular in France. One of those groups even got their own movie called Yamasaki (just like the name of their group), dont know if that clip was from that movie, it's been a while since I saw it. check out these sites for more clips and stuff like that.

I just saw this (again) the other day, I can't remember when I saw it before but I'm pretty sure I did.

Voted 8, it's hot but there's gotta be room for better

Wow. That was freakin sweet. Was there a camera man right there at the end though, leaning up against the wall, his clothes billowing in the wind?
Watching the ones at the website, do you think they go through and rehearse everything they're going to do?

It's an insane clip, but when I think "crazy good action sequence", there has to be at least some gunfire and one explosion, which is why it got a 9 instead of a 10. Still amazing though.

I only give it an 8.

You're not the only one that thinks of action scenes like that JR.

That clip seems too continental for my liking.

I would have to say an 8 or 9. That was pretty sick.

Music wasn't up to par though.

Why do you think bits were sick out of interest?

Out of another interest, how many would associate that footage with a B-Movie?

Yes.

I'm used to the British and American films that are always shown...and not the keenest on anything European...with good reason too. The French films are so looong and draaawn oooout...though the German films aren't too bad.

Talking about German films, has anyone seen Run Lola Run?

Yeah, why did no one have a gun? If they had a gun he would have been dead 50 times over and again.

Because it's a film! The only time they'd have a gun in a scene like that would be if it was the last scene and the main guy absolutely had to die.

It's one of the films that shows the Germans can make good films.

I wonder how many people know that it was the Germans who started using different camera tricks first. For example a German filmmaker (can't remember their name, might have beena female) did loads of things for Hitler and his talks. She filmed the marching ranks from above as the marched through an archway, put a camera on a pole behind Hitler when he was talking and raised it to show the whole crowd. Amazing techniques that are used by people nowadays.

The only problem with RLR is the fact that it's in German. I can understand a lot of it from doing German lessons (and the subtitles of course...), but after a while I end up slipping into a "glazed eyes" state and ignoring any type of talking. You get the general idea by the shouting and the body language.

Great film.

That's the one! With the camera that moves up between the two Swastika flags.

Rather ironic that I couldn't remember the directors name...
