Flash pokearound

I'm working on a small flash game for school, using blueprints from my school's map. Right now, you can just walk around and shoot things, but you may find some amusement and/or challenge in the current test setup.

Controls: Use the arrow keys to move and rotate, z and x to strafe, spacebar to fire and F5 to reload the game if you die.

The quality is set to Low by default, so feel free to increase it manually by right-clicking the movie if you have a computer good enough. And no, your gun cannot fire through walls; theirs can. But yours is much faster.

Is there a Shooter Game 1 and/or 2??

The rotation is too slow, and your shots don't seem to make it that far.

Your rotation speed should be faster if you stand still. As for shot range, they should easily go off screen if your computer can handle the game well. Shots are only airborne for a specific amount of miliseconds, so if your system is lagging, shots will have a shorter range than they're intended to.

I know this isn't a good solution for low-end system, I will replace it soon with a simple frame counter. My 1.4 GHz computer with 768 mb ram cannot handle the game very well and suffers from especially great lag at the gathering.

I won, and I got a fucking popup while I was in the middle(I guess it was the middle, the huge room with about 20 guys in it) so it killed my health.

Enemies shouldn't be able to shoot through walls.

My question is, why did you use the layout of your school? Are you planning to shoot up your school or something?

Might I suggest a few things? Health packs, slightly faster movement for player in harder levels, and limited ammo(with ammo packs).

Ah, not bad. Yeah, health packs are planned, haven't thought too much about ammo packs yet. Maybe different weapons.

Anyway, it's a project for school, and it had to be associated with school somehow. I told my teacher the school has been invaded by aliens, and he was happy with that.

I don't think hard is even possible. It might be close to possible with health packs or some kind of spread shot or something.

I kept popping through the walls, which really threw me off and resulted in me getting shot a bunch before I figure out what was going on. You may wanna look into that.

If enemies couldn't shoot through walls it would be better.
