Unhappy I cant get my E drive to work, tried about everything

I was hoping to get this working first it started to not to blink(light above it) then it got where it didnt then it stop rejecting cd's all together. manual to remove a CD that was in it. Computer like almost 3 years old. I restore it also, what can I do before getting a new E drive , so I can record music and data with?

That was kind of hard to understand. Could you rephrase it? I'm afraid I don't understand what the problem is.

Sounds like something's amiss with the power supply / cable to the CD drive, or the power cable wasn't put in properly in the first place and fell out somehow. It's most likely a power issue of SOME sort, since even the "eject" button isn't working apparently.

Of course, the drive itself might be completely shot, but here's to hoping that didn't happen.

Swap power cables to see if it's just that one connection.
