I am in the market for an in-dash eq/preamp for my car stereo system. I am using the stock deck, then the signal goes to 2 amps that power the highs in the front and rear. The second amp powers my sub. This is what I am looking for by priority:
1. Sub level control
2. 3+ bands of eq adjustable q if possible
3. Aux input (to plug in my MP3 player in my car)
4. 24db crossover
The closest I have gotten has been the Audiocontrol Three.1. It has everything I want minus the aux input. Anyone got any other suggestions for me?

Im just messing with ya man. Acctually I dont know what to say, you lost me "n-dash eq/preamp" there, I understood "I am using the stock deck, then the signal goes to 2 amps that power the highs in the front and rear. The second amp powers my sub." then you lost me again with the
"1. Sub level control

Those things I listed were the features I am looking for in a indash unit whatever it may be. There are alot of different components that do some of these functions but not a single unit that does them all as far as I can tell. I know some of the people around here know quite a bit about car audio and I thought they could maybe help.
I am in the process of biuilding up a system of my own, its about 2/3 done and heres what ive learned so far relative to what you need. First off, what is it about your deck that prevents you from changing it out? In any case, for the audiocontrol three all you need is one of those cheap FM modulators(about $10 at walmart) or while youre at that walmart, stop by the cd changers. They got a 10 disc mp3/cd changer thats cd/rw compatible for about $110. Its not the best but i have one and no complaints so far. Hope this helps and any questions msg me on AIM, my S/N is alienautopsy1951

first thing u do when upgrading ur system is changing ur deck, seriously the stock deck doesnt have the watts to make ur system sounds better. I just got an alpine and it makes a lot of differences, even wid stock speakers.
