Tinker Guide, The Best from DA_MURDOC

This is the Tinker Guide for 1.16. This guide will feature detailled screenshot as well as new replays and audio commentarys.
Lets start by the beggining.

GENERAL
Here what you alwais do when you use the Tinker strat.
-Get archers.
-Power creep.
-Get tinker!!.
-Harass.
-Micro you archers.
-Make a wall with your buldings.
-Thumb down all No-Taverns maps.
-Hide your buildings (Ancient of wind and Chimaeras roots).
Ok, you guys understand??? Let's see if you understand.
Let's talk about the Tinker

Why the tinker?
Because hes a monstruous tank (HP) a admirable harasser (pocket factory) and a a real formula 1 (ultra speed).
He's a really good tank and the best harasser in the game.
Let's talk about his skills

Pocket Factory
This is why I use tinker, this Skill is the best power creeping skills in the game and one of the best harassing skills so be sure to check my replays to see how strong this skill is.
TRICKSTER!!!!
Use the long range pocket factory!
Use your pocket factory skill and tell the tinker to do it in the middle of the trees, the factory will pop out of the trees but.. to the other side of the wall of trees!!





Engineering Upgrade
Alwais get this one with the pocket factory because the engineering upgrade add speed to you tinker and help pocket factory to builds clockwerk goblins more quickly. Also enhances Demolish.

Cluster Rockets
This is decent skill.. not much. The cooldown may be low but when a skill does 100 dmg at lvl 1 there is a problem.Its also a horrible harassing skill so..

Robo-Goblin
-Transform into a Robo-Goblin
-Mechanical
-Repairable
-Ultra hard to kill
-Have the demolish ability wich gives bonus damage to buldings
This skill may save you alot of time.
The use of an orb is a good add-on to the robo-goblin.
TIPS!!!!
Use your robo-goblin and focus fire on the burrows, even if the burrows arent fortified the bonus damage still work!! so you will make 100 damage per hit (or more) to the burrows!


Build order
-# 1-2-3-4 on gold.
-# 5 make Moonwell.
-Make wisps.
-Wisp # 6 make a AOW.
-Wisp # 7 get lumber.
-Wisp # 8 go on gold.
-Wisp # 5 make an altar right after he finish his moonwell.
-Wisp # 9-10-11 on lumber
-Make 3 archers.
-Wisp # 7 make another moonwell at the 40 wood mark.
-Make tinker when # 7 finish his moonwell.
-Continu making moonwells and archers and tech as soon as possible with making more wisps and buldings depending on the race you face.
Remember that 1 archer goes on the tavern and the others goes on the creep camp you will creep.

Skills order
-Pocket factory.
-Engineering Upgrade.
-Pocket factory.
-Engineering Upgrade.
-Pocket factory.
-Robo-Goblin.
-Engineering Upgrade.
-Cluster Rockets.
-Cluster Rockets.
-Cluster Rockets.

Goblin merchant

This is your close friend when you use the tinker strat.

Effect: Give movement speed
These magical boots are one of the best item in the game. Before harassing, alwais get the boots of speed to save your tinker from a miserable death. With boots of speed and Engineering Upgrade you should be able to run faster than a Death knight with his lvl 3 aura.

Effect: Teleport you hero to a friendly unit or bulding
Before harassing, alwais get the staff of teleportation. remember that the teleportation can be cancelled by
Humans: Mountain King - Storm Bolt
Humans: Mountain King - Bash (uncastable on air units)
Orcs: Raider - Ensnare
Orcs: Tauren Chieftain - War Stomp (uncastable on air units)
Orcs: Witch Doctor - Stasis Trap (uncastable on air units)
Orcs: Shadow Hunter - Hex
Night Elves: Druid of the Talon - Cyclone (uncastable on air units)
Night Elves: Keeper of the Grove - Entangling Roots (uncastable on air units)
Undead: Dread Lord - Sleep
Undead: Dread Lord - Inferno (uncastable on air units)
Undead: Crypt Lord - Impale (uncastable on air units)
Neutral: Goblin Tinker - Cluster Rockets

Effect: Your hero become invisible
If you cant get a way to scout the base of you ennemy or to get to his workers because of the nerubian towers, use the invisibility.

Effect: Become invulnerable for a short amout of time
This is a good item to use if you see someone will cancel your staff of teleportation. Use this potion and you can use the staff right after to become invulnerable and not waist a tp for a single hero. Also very usefull to avoid a certain death to your magnificent tinker.



MAPS
Gnoll Wood
Good for:Power creeping, Pop the factory behind the trees, Hide buldings
Bad for:Fast Harass

Personal tough: This map is pretty good for tinker strat because of the fast creeping and the good items. The various goblin marchants help alot.
Its bad for fast harass because the map is huge and you have to scout alot to find you ennemy. Overall, this is a very very good map for the Tinker Strat.
Creeping pathern for fast lvl 3:

*The little squares represent the taverns or the creep camps to use or creep*

Turtle Rock
Good for: Pop the factory behind the trees, Fast Harass, Make a wall with your buldings

Bad for: Hide buldings, Power creeping

Personal tough: This map is pretty good for tinker strat even if the power creeping is not as good as the other maps. Because of the red camp that you just cant creep with archers (Shockwave). Perfect map for the bulding wall but very bad for hiding buldings because of all this water and the size of the map.
Creeping pathern for fast lvl 3:

*The little squares represent the taverns or the creep camps to use or creep*

Twisted Meadows
Good for: Power creeping, Hide buldings

Bad for: Fast Harass, Pop the factory behind the trees

Personal tough: This map is fearly good with tinker strat because you can hide your buldings pretty good between your natural mine and the goblin observatory.
Very good power creeping tho because the red camp is very easy to creep and the goblin merchant give very very good items.
Creeping pathern for fast lvl 3:

*The little squares represent the taverns or the creep camps to use or creep*

Iceforge
Good for:Power creeping, Hide buldings, Pop the factory behind the trees
Bad for: Fast Harass, Buying your stuff at the goblin merchant

Personal tough: In this one, you can hide your bulding in the orange creep camp on ur left or right. Bad for fast harass because the map is weird and kinda big so you will take some time to find ur ennemy. I can say its a good map, even know i hate it because it's an ugly map.
Creeping pathern for fast lvl 3:

*The little squares represent the taverns or the creep camps to use or creep*

Whirlwind
Good for: Buying your stuff at the goblin merchant


Bad for: Power creeping, Pop the factory behind the trees, Fast harass, Hide buldings

Personal tough:
Just pray not to play on this map.
Creeping pathern for fast lvl 3:

*The little squares represent the taverns or the creep camps to use or creep*

STRATEGY

Use different units but alwais start with archers and tinker.

VERSUS RANDOM
Do the regular stuff but scout to see what you will do later.

VERSUS NIGHT ELF
What you want to do versus the ne players is to stop him from creeping and try hard to kill as much wisp as possible with your level 3 tinker, also note that a level 3 tinker is able to destroy the ennemy mine really fast.
Stop him from expanding at all cost and defend your base with the wall i just told you.
Units?
Hyppogryph riders. Because you want to harass the ne really bad and you need to counter the fast bears+dryad.
Tricks
You know your ennemy will try to destroy your hyppogryphs riders by mass talons, archers, dryad. What you want to do is focus fire on the druid of the talons and the dryads. take them down how by one and when he will come to your base, your tinker will be able to counter the archers by hiding a little pocket factory on a corner and pop some goblins.
Also, after you have a full army of hyppogryph riders you have to focus fire on the ennemy mines so he wont be able to pop a counter to your mass airs.
You can also dismout a archer from the hyppogryph riders and use ur staff of teleportation to speed up ur harassing skills
Build order?
Same as alwais but remember to pop 2 ancient of winds after you researched tier 2 Remember to hide your AOW!!! because you dont want the NE to know you will do hyppogryphs.. you want him to mass bears so you can laught at him after the game.
Remember!!
-Hyppogryph riders own heroes bad believe it or not.
-Tinker run faster than any heroes with his boot of speed.
-Wisp dispel the fairy fire.
-if you dismout your hyppogryphs riders you will dispel any curse.

VERSUS UNDEAD
What you want to do versus the UD is the same thing as the NE player Stop him from expanding at all cost and defend your base with the wall i just told you.
Units?
Hyppogryph riders vs Gargs+ghouls and Dryad+Mountain giants+archers vs Fiends.
Tricks
Use the potion of invisibility to pass trough the nerubian towers.
If hes using gargs, be sure to counter the gargoyles by using hyppogryphs!! not hyppogryphs riders. Try to creepjack him and kill as much gargs as possible.
If hes using fiends just upgrade the armor of your mountain giants and try to make them unkillable. Also try to kill the deathknight.
Build order?
Same as alwais but remember to pop 2 ancients of winds or 2 ancients of lore after you researched tier 2 Remember to hide your AOW!!! because you dont want the UD to know you will do hyppogryphs.. And remember to get to tier 3 if you have mountain giants because you need those tier3 upgrades.
Remember!!
-Hyppogryph riders own heroes bad believe it or not.
-Tinker run faster than any heroes with his boot of speed.
-Wisp repair the robo-goblin.
-You are imute to hero killing with robo-goblin.
-Staff of preservation save your mountain giants.
-Orb of venom help alot to counter the gargoyles

VERSUS HUMAN
What you want to do versus the human is to stop him from creeping and teching at all cost and never stop harassing.
Kill as much militas as possible and remember MK can stop your teleportation so be sure you bring some tricky items with you.
Units?
Chimaeras
Build order?
Same as alwais but remember to pop 1 ancients of winds and 2 chimaeras roost.
Tricks
If he have dragonhawks riders or flying machines, be sure to tell your archers to focus fire on ANY anti-air.
After you tech to tier 2, tech to tier 3 immediatly
Upgrade the damage on those chimaeras
If you see hes focus fire on the chimaeras MICRO THEM!!
Be sure to have enought chimaeras... because if the first rush doesnt work, the second WONT work.
Remember!!
-6 chimaeras focusing fire on a archmage is ownage.
-Micro your chimaeras
-Use the goblin factory in the battle
--Tinker run faster than any heroes with his boot of speed.
-Focus fire on anti-air first with archers.

VERSUS ORC
What you want to do versus the orc players is to stop him from creeping and try hard to kill as much peons/burrows as possible with your level 3 tinker, also note that a level 3 tinker is able to destroy the ennemy burrows really fast.
Stop him from expanding at all cost and defend your base with the wall i just told you.
Units?
Hyppogryphs riders
Build order?
Same as Night elf
Tricks
Try to nuke the burrows as fast as possible with a full army of hyppogryph riders. Make sure he doesnt see your Ancents of winds
Remember!!
-Micro your Hyppos.
-Build your ancients of wind secretly.
-Listen to all my Audio commentarys.
