Alrighty, popular vote has determined that the next Zel Melee tournament will focus on more video game characters! Let's hear suggestions in regards to precisely who you want to see kicking each other's asses!
I disagree. Samus needs to be retired after the last tournament. In fact, I think all long-standing characters in that last tournament need to be retired. I think doubling up on some of the earlier losers would be fine, but doubling up on the more successful combatants would just run us in circles.
Serious Sam Stone
Armed with NETRISCA (A combat tactical analysis implant), Dual 6-shooters that never run out of ammo (though there is a "reload" time), double barrelled shot gun, mini gun, 3RPS rocket launcher, cannon, and more, he's ready to take on entire civilizations by himself.
You don't have to say which version, because characters are granted all their abilities combined from any game they were in. One of the perks of being in multiple games, I guess.
Oh...well, I forgot about that >.< I had read the rules a while back. (the only reason I put the versions is because those are my favorite versions...but whatever)
Alright, I'm gonna suggest a few, just for the hell of it.
Alucard (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
Banjo & Kazooie (Banjo-Kazooie)
Isaac (Golden Sun)
Vanessa Schneider (P.N. 03)
Nightmare (Soul Calibur)
Jango Fett (Star Wars: Bounty Hunter)
Viewtiful Joe (Viewtiful Joe)
Fei Fong Wong (Xenogears)
Firebrand (Demon's Crest)
Jake Armitage (Shadowrun)
Geno (Super Mario RPG)
Captain Falcon (Super Smash Bros.)
Ash (Evil Dead: Hail to the King)
So, I'd say that's a pretty good mix of well-known and obscure characters. I'm not saying that any of these characters will necessarily be used, I just did this mainly to give people ideas.
Melissan. (Throne of Bhaal)
Sam Fisher. (Splinter Cell)
Super Shredder. (Turtles In Time)
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Shadow. (Sonic Heroes)
Dr. B. (Tekken 3)
Ganon.
Max Payne.
Cannon fodder:
Dog. (Duck Hunt)
Any of the DoA 3 / Xtreme Beach Volleyball characters.
