Hey taco, I know this isnt the place but can you put the delay on posts to 0 seconds, its really annoying, and if you think it gets out of hand, just say stop. =)
Isolationism is the practice that the United States used to adhere to before World War I. Our attitude was "let everyone else handle their own business. If it doesn't concern us, then we don't get involved." We dropped that load of crap when we got involved in WWI. Our country now takes the stance that "since we're the most powerful nation on Earth, we will use our power to keep the peace."
Like Spider Man! When he first got his powers, he was only looking out for himself. But he learned that he needed to use his abilities to defend those who couldn't do it themselves. Damn, now THAT was a smooth analogy.
isolationism works, for the most part. a self contained economy solves virtually all your international issues and cuts your national spending in half.
no man is fucking evil remember when medeveil china and how advanced and strong it was right before they isolate themselves and closing the silk road and all trides? china would have definily become a stronger country if not because of it.
It's physically impossible for you to lick your elbow when intact to your miserable body.
I think if the society is not nationalist it's not such a bad thing unless the country holds a valuble use like say oil and was embargoing it but an isolitic developed society is kinda of an oxymoron
