Some Advice For Diablo 2 Players....

I have noticed many questions in the Diablo 2 General Chat area can be answered by several of these sites.
Technical Difficulties/Strategies
Many people go to this site to find good gear, skill combos, stats, and more on these forums. Also, you can navigate for password recovery, report someone to Blizzard, and read more in depth about Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction.

I have also noticed many Marketplace price checks, i.e. what is a SOJ worth? When you post what you want checked, please do remember to put Ladder/Non-Ladder, Realm, and most important Hardcore/Softcore. The exchange rates differ greatly from East to West to Asia and to Europe, and even more different if you go on Ladder.

Many of you may have already been to this site, but still a lot of you need to brush up on Diablo 2 facts, because you know practically nothing about this game. I am not trying to insult your intelligence, but it seems I am stating the truth. The week that I have been gone there have been so many useless questions. An Example:

fire or wind druid?

Gosh isn’t it freaking obvious? (Maleficus don’t think I hate you or anything) How many immune to physical people are out there when doing Baal or Diablo? Hmm Hmmm? Almost none. That should be a rhetorical question (fire or wind) because cold and physical damage PWNS fire any day. Not to mention the high amount of damage absorbed by your synergized cyclone armor, you will be untouchable.

Go to that Site at the top, and GO to the skill builder/character build. Hell, if you want a skill planner go here Skill Planner 1.10. This site is also good if you are QUITTING anytime soon and have godly items. You can sell them for REAL $$$ on this site. You’re selling data for REAL $$$! This is a steal. Item Seller Skill charms go for $.50, and if you have a fire sorceress or a cold sorceress, if you have 10 of these charms, it’s and easy $5.00. And if you play ladder, most of the prices double almost.

This may have been done before, but I please ask that you educate yourself more on Diablo 2, so that if you have been playing for awhile you are not considered a noob.

Controversy: Hardcore vs. Softcore
I personally loved to play softcore, because dueling is so much fun. Some will say you can duel in hardcore, but then if you get killed, you lose everything you have worked for and it was just a waste of time making that character. Hardcore is a challenge, I know. But be on the look-out for pkers and dipshits who make the game not fun. And do not believe that Hardcore has different items, because it doesn’t. Only ladder has different items. Softcore is the best in my eyes, you work and work and if you die you do not lose everything in a second.
Another Argument: Ladder vs. Nonladder
I have never played Ladder, so I will not bash it. I think it would be better to play when a fresh new season comes because then you could be as good as anyone. I don’t like how some Amazons at super high levels on Non go into games and Pwn everyone in duels because they have 40 290’s. At least in ladder you stand as fair a chance as anyone else when it comes to finding items and dueling.

fire does more damage, and has physical, also avails itself to more +skills/damage (magefist, ravenlore)
thus, it is a matter of opinion, if you fail to observer a reasonable arguement because you either didnt notice the volcano phys damage, or you chose not to as to add more (in your eyes) to your arguement/"obvious" opinion
baal runs have many cold immunes, fewer fire immunes
as well, if you assumed it was pure armageddon it could be a mix version of a druid
also, i need not educate myself...i asked for an opinion, as it typically do, most of questions are due to not wishing to spend time delving into it when someone else might readily have the information...i hope i have never asked anything that one may consider foolish, more of the things arcane or esoteric, such as the doom question. more comments...is this a sales pitch?cuz thats what i got for most of this, and the multiple tangents you explored...

Yes, i was a bit biased with the fire/wind thing. It is my opinion that the cold is better. You are right, I forgot to include that volcano and molten boulder do have physical damage.

For the education part, that is for those who do not know much about diablo 2, not such as you. In quoting you, I in no way was insulting your knowledge of the game, but was just pointing out what I found, and is now not, a flaw. Thank you for your comments.

wasnt he banned? any way i do remember HOH saying some pretty nasty stuff about the members of zelaron. aside from that this thread could be informative to people who have not played diablo2 long.

To answer your question I was banned, but I have served my 2 weeks, and so I am unbanned. I was full of hot air when I said those nasty things, and having a super bad day.
