hey i read arreat summit and it never said anything on giving your mercs life leech, just not mana leech and it said to give them highest defense armor and highest damage weapon, but is life leech worth it too? because i want to get a good tank merc for my sorc and im not sure what should i give them, would more leech be better than higher damage for it to survive? and when i put him on a 5% life leech armor and then switched to like the set curiass, he survived better in the set armor without the leech

well 5% isnt really much, give him 20+ and alot of dmg and u will notice the difference

I have had alot of success with the Sansabi Set on my barb merc in 1.09. I don't think 1.10 changed that any.

get an act 2 holy freeze merc , use a rare elite polearm wif 250+ed and duel leech will do , i hav a 357 ed stygian pike wif 8%LL and 6%ML and some other minor mods,eth upgraded shaft and a gaze on my holy freeze merc ........

well i had a freeze merc but he still always died a lot so i am trying a barb merc now

My Freeze Merc does great with the following gear:

Sazabi Armor - I dont know why but this seems to work better then any other armor ive tried including shaftstop.

Crown Of Thieves - Etheral, great Life leech.

Brainhew Ogre Axe - He got lucky cause I found an etheral one, but regular one works great too.

This merc can go toe to toe with Meph and kill him in about 30 seconds with very little help from me.

is it really worth it to get a mercenary..... seems like a waste of time if u make a decent character

For some chars its absolutely neccesary. My zon would be pretty worthless without her merc. Course she was the shit in 1.09

hey doofus what is the sazabi armor? like what kind and whats the stats and is it hard to find? and which meph are you talkinga bout? the hell one or nightmare one?

has anyone tried the ariocs needle for the merc? because i found it and was wondering if it might be good for a act 2 merc
