werebear for all-round dueling?

Is a werebear viable for all-round dueling? It seems to be a challenge because bears seem to have slower block-rate, slower hit-recovery, and his maul starts at only 20%ED (in all-round dueling like vs. zons you won't be able to charge up much if at all). Having said that, I'm still looking to maybe try to make an all-round werebear dueler as they seem pretty much non-existent. Will any gear changes be needed from the standard melee bear build (like maybe a slower more damaging weapon)?

you might try using a robo pike or a cruel giant thresher for sorcs so you have a good range.

maul after max charge is i believe 350% ed.
in allaround you won't even need the higher damage ( ed% wise it doesn't add much.)

v1.08 highlords (30% frw instead of 20% ias)
more frw% and resists in general, oak sage or just vitabuild in general
