Be creative, add reviews and downloads!

Well, you might not even have been to http://www.zelaron.com yet, but it's our own portal, which allows the visitors to read reviews, download the latest game-related files and various applications, get a [email protected] email address and so on.

Now, the review and download sections lack good content so far, considering not many bother to actually visit the portal due to just that; lack of content. While there's nothing wrong with our forum activity, YOU can help make Zelaron a better place by:



1: Writing a review

Well, go to the Zelaron Portal and click the "Reviews" located on the left side menu. After the new page has loadeed, click the "Write a Review" link in the middle, and begin writing a review. The page says it's for Netterror.com, but that's a domain owned by us, which goes straight to the forums.

So, just fill all the fields out with some appropriate content, and try to make the reviews at LEAST three lengthy paragraphs. Not just something like "This game is good, can I have pie now?".

Anyone who writes several good reviews may contact me if an official Zelaron Reviewer position is wanted. This will alter your user title in the forums to let everyone know you're a part of the Zelaron team.

2: Adding a downloadable file

Well, if you haven't found your way to the Zelaron Portal already, go click the text I just bolded for you a few words back. So, click the Downloads link on the site, and you'll see a couple of categories. It's mainly a quick list of some various popular games and a general applications so far, so if the file you're planning to submit can't be placed in any of those categories, feel free to just send it to the Applications directory and leave a small note in the file description.

Anyway, click the Add Download link on the Zelaron page, and start filling the information out. Please try to fill out as much as possible, especially the file size in bytes, as this is really important. Just right-click the file you've downloaded, choose properties and write down the file size in bytes from the property box, assuming you're running a Windows-based OS. Oh, and remember all files have to already be uploaded to another server you can link to. If you're not willing to put them on your own webspace and want to link to someone else, make sure you ask the owner of that site if it is acceptable. You should ALWAYS add some info to the "HomePage" field as well to give some credits and linkage to those who host the files.




So, without further ado, go right ahead and add Reviews and Downloads, and it will definitely be much appreciated, not only by the members of our site, but by the entire gaming community out there, who might one day just come over to Zelaron and give us something in return. Whether that be new ideas, more forum activity or additional reviews plus downloads, it's all good for us.
