Take-Two Interactive Software have announced Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne, developed by Remedy Entertainment. Its prequel, released in 2001, revolutionized the genre with its groundbreaking Matrix-style "Bullet Time" effects.
Max Payne 2 is expected to his the shelves Fall 2003, and soon we will find out if it will truly stand up to today's standards or not. However, no multiplayer mode has been mentioned yet, and while bullet-time could certainly cause some problems in this, a bullet-time less mode might still be an option.
