Medieval Bob is back!

Well.. almost. I've been offline for quite some time now thanks to a PoS power supply.

After a Lan party on the 7th, I was assembling my computer Sunday morning, and I got about 4 seconds of power. Hrm.. power supply went out I think.. Dang.

Oh well, so I bought a new power supply, replaced it, and got fans to come on and lights to blink, but that was it.

So I talked my mom into buying me a new Motherboard and Processor for X-mas. I got some ram in the deal too since my old Mobo was running SDRAM.

So I ordered that stuff... then I went to a friend's house to backup files from my hard drive for the new hardware. I plugged it in and got a horrible *clank clank* sound.

So my hard drive was out too, which means that my video card, sound card, cd burner, etc might also be fried.

My mother told me to send back the stuff (sigh) and order a new comp (Yay). Anyhow, the computer should be in Friday (20 days since I last had a computer).

Yesterday I borrowed a used laptop Silverjinx got for her birthday (Pentium I processor/96MB Ram) and got a dialup account from a friend who works at an ISP. So.. I'm back sorta.

btw, new computer is:
AMD XP 2.1GhZ
nForce2 Motherboard
512 MB 400Mhz DDR 3200
Radeon 9700 Pro
Surround-sound speakers =P

Anyhow, though I won't have any games until Friday since this won't run much, it's good to be back.

Oh, and by the way,

Radeon 9700? Isn't that a little extravagant? You realize the only reason it costs 400 some dollars is because it's brand new? Wait till something better comes out and it'll drop a huge amount.

Oh, and by the way,
You're an idiot. There is no AMD XP 2.1GHz processor.

There is a 2.133 though.
