Well, not really... I can't really think of any other instances where someone has left, made a thread about it, and then turned up three days later saying it was just an excuse because they needed to do something.

I love how easily people can fall for things. Yeah, I don't care for the status, but I wouldn't leave over it. Instead I used it to my advantage to force myself to leave for a couple of days so I could do some hard studying on PHP and SQL scripting languages. I'm not kidding about that. I know a ton more now then I did 2-days ago.

A scripting language, as Lenny said, is a language which controls an application or ties several applications together, though today the term is commonly used for any language with control constructs which is parsed at runtime rather than compiled.
