I do agree that the new items still suck...

The 'winning combinations' we have now, like 'string, valor, ss, gaze' for a melee fighter seem like they are still the best.

For one thing, they have a ton of new unique shields, and none is still as good as a stormshield...so....

And it will still suck to play a necro...the improvements to damage theyre making is offset by the fact that 'Slain monsters rest in peace' now, a mod which most people will try to take advantage of.

I wouldnt trust any of those pre-release stats, werent those all items on a european web-site that turned out to be a hoax??
