I hate the side bar and the visual effects, they're all turned off on mine, as well as the ACP. Which might I add is bugging me. I'm about ready to overwrite the thing that makes that pop up.

As for your problem, GLG, has long has it been happening? Since you installed it or since an update?

Anyways, it started for the first time 2-months ago. I stopped getting updates about 1-month ago. Keep in mind that I went though this process.
January 2008 - Computer is brand new with Vista Home Premium installed
February 2008 - Talk about downgrading is about and floating in the air
March 2008 - I downgrade to XP Professional and Re-Upgrade to Vista because I didn't have the right drivers that I thought I'd had.
April 2008 - I dual boot system with XP
June 2008 - I triple boot system with Vista, XP, and Ubuntu 8.04
July 2008 - My power cord crapped out. Just bought a new cord online. Should arrive in a few days.
August 2008 - What? It's not August yet.
