He didn't mean he's going into politics in a literal sense, if Chuck Norris did though, there's no way he'd even get anywhere, Steven Colbert has more credentials than he, and he didn't even get to be put in the pool of primaries.

Fun fact I heard on NPR: to get on the ballot in North Carolina, the Democrat fee was ~$1,000 while the Republican fee was ~$10,000. [He tried to do both.]
