I'm a bit surprised too. I don't know how the hell us in the U.S. get such a good deal.
We refine quite a lot of oil here, we can import Crude far cheaper than finished Gasoline. That's at least 1 helpful contributor, I don't know how much we can refine vs. consumption/etc though.
We also do have a bit of oil being pumped right here at home as well.
Wouldn't driving gas to someone kind of defeat the situation?
