Saw it and I've got to say ...it was the worst Spiderman movie. The first two were pretty good ...this one takes cheesiness to the fucking max. The last 20 minutes of it made me want to slit my wrists.
I think everybody's being overly critical. No, it wasn't epic. No, it wasn't scratch-your-eyes-out awesome. Was it good, though? I think so.
Venom really could have used some more air-time, but I think we'll get our fix in the next movie. There wasn't any hinting at a new movie, but come on. Who really doesn't think that they'll make another?
As for everybody bitching and moaning about how Spiderman was all emo in this movie, he's a huge nerd. I mean, come on. He not Throg the Barbarian. He's Peter Parker. It's not unreasonable to assume he would act the way he did in those situations.

Exactly. If you go into it with no expectations, you'll come out thinking it a good movie. If you go in expecting the best movie of the year, you'll be disapointed.
Okay ...this post is going to contain spoilers. Trying to support my opinion.
Halfway through the movie he just started acting so full of himself for no reason. I thought "Did Venom already invade him to make him such a dick?" It was a night and day difference. Like when he kissed the girl while upside down ...that's very out of character for him imo. But noo ...there was no rational explanation besides all of a sudden he was full of himself from all of the fame! It was like he didn't have any fame before that day or a few days before hand.
Mary Jane or whatever her name is was a conceited little bitch ...then Peter became a conceited little bitch. I mean they both proved themselves to be insufferable little bastards. They just ruined Peter Parker's modest character with this movie.
Lastly ...the 2v2 tag team scene was just fucking corny as hell. When Harry was all like "hop on buddy" and bullshit like that. I have no problem with them working together (although this movie should have been seperated into two or more movies so they wouldn't have to) but just the whole attitude they had didn't seem to reflect the gravity of the situation. Thankfully Harry got killed.
And no ...I didn't expect the movie of the year going in. However, I expected a movie that would at least match the first spiderman's quality or perhaps even match/overcome that of the second. But I was very disappointed.
