I was wondering what types of mp3 players people have. I have an older iriver, that I'm looking to replace. The software doesn't even work anymore, so I'm looking to move up. Was just wondering if people are using ipods or whatnot.
I've got a Sony NW-HD1. It's 2 years old, and works like a dream still.
The new Creatives are pretty neat. Or, if you want a full media centre, go for an Arkos. They've got Cameras, Microphones, Video Recorders, a very big screen, and the more expensive ones have HDDs in excess of 300gb.
And I'm one of these few that despises iPods.
EDIT: Maybe I'm not one of a few. What gives? Everyone over here likes iPods, why not America?
I use my mint chocolate phone. The phone itself only has about 52mb of memory but you can buy a microSD memory card (up to 2gb). It's pretty sweet. I don't have to lug around an mp3 player + my phone.. it's 2in1.
I don't know. I have a Creative Zen Micro, and its battery life is absolutely terrible, and the headphone jack needs to be perfectly positioned in order to work. Any sort of jiggle, and I'll lose most of the sound. And I've read reviews, and I'm not the only person who this has happened to. I don't know, I wouldn't recommend it, but If you get a properly working one they're pretty good.
It might just be the headphones. I know with mine I've got to have the gold-plated jacks as the silver plated ones are just that little bit too short.
Looking at the Sony MP3 players, they all seem to be great for battery life. Mine was around 30 hours when I got it, and it is still 30 hours 2 years later. The newer ones are about the same, I think. Though the new software that comes with (Connect) is the worst piece of music software I've ever seen. Thank God SonicStage works.
No it isn't, sadly. I've tried with many different types of headphones, and they all were the same. Plus, I had the device for about 6 months before it started acting up like it is.
