You know what I hate?

I can understand if someone asks you what an abbreviation means and then you say it, but if you say an abbreviation to someone and then say what the abbreviation stands for, you might as well just say it to begin with, as there's no point in saying the abbreviation.

Well I was talking more about daily conversation, in person or on the phone, but it also applies to posting with the exception of what you mentioned.

Like when you're chatting with someone online and they're all "oh i g2g (got to go) ill bbl (be back l8r (later))!!!1!1!one! *bangs hand against chest, insert 'Durrr' sound*"

It gives me the urge to shove their computer up their ass, whether it be a laptop or the whole damn system, tower, monitor, speakers and all. They're annoying.

...I'd have to break the monitor's screen first though, and smash the tower until it forms all sorts of lovely pointy and sharp edges...hm...

Something like that, yes, but usually it applies to when someone is abbreviating the name of an organization or something.
