Dark Elf gives a lot more backstory to one of the characters, which doesn't force you to take things at face value when a character's past is mentioned.

However, I also enjoyed the Dark Elf trilogy more.
Yea I was on the 2nd book in the Dark Elf when I wrote that post, its finish now, I really liked Sojourn the one where he is trying to survive on the surface. Now I am just waiting til xmas for my mom to send me the rest of Salvatores books.

What "grade level" or "reading level" would you attribute to these books?

Um, High School at most?

Yea, its about the story, not the reading level... and I cant really say what grade level they are, because I started reading 400+ page novels back in 5th grade while everyone else was reading Goosebumps.

Yeah, I read Stephen King's "It" in 7th grade. 1090 pages was kinda huge, longest book I ever read.

What sucks about DnD for me tho, is they are in the Ebberon campaign now, and I just fell in love with Faerun less then 4 months ago.

Um... Forgotten Realms is a campaign setting. So, in the Forgotten Realms series, they're in... Forgotten Realms.
