I know that no matter how good one is at a game, there is always someone better. Internet gaming has shown that time and again. Even if you disagree with half of your losses because of lag(me ), I... er one still knows that there are thousands of people better than oneself.
The thing is, I've never been beat by anyone I know who lives around me. Everytime I talk to people around me, they talk all this shit, and then they suck at the games they are talking about. I've therefore grown overconfident VSing people around me. I think it'd be somewhat amusing if I started talking to someone about HALO 2 and we ended up where every conversation does, "who is better." Then we played, and I found out the hard way he was a lvl 45 or something on live.
Still waitin' for that moment though, when my jaw hits the floor and the controller hits the wall.
