CD Purchase Ideas.

Yeah. So, here's what I just got recently:

Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings
The entire album is amazing. Dante's Inferno and Diary are my favorites and do justice to their respective concpts.

Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell
Eh, I like Dio. Sue me. I don't think Sabbath died after Ozzy left. The title track and Die Young are good songs and the album is decent.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
I can't stand Ozzy's vocals, but Iommi, Ward and Geezer were good and Electric Funeral was awesome.

Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Huzzah for British metal, eh? Dickinson really is a superb vocalist.

Grateful Dead - American Beauty
Variety is the spice of life. Well, it was a good album, though not to my real taste. I just wanted to try them out and while I was not disappointed, I prefer my metal and hard rock over folk.

So...anybody got any suggestions on where to go from here?

That is a hell of a list man. I love Sabbath with Dio. Iron Maiden is my favorite band though and powerslave is probably my favorite of their albums next to Brave New World.

I'd go with some Rush and perhaps some Shadows Fall if you are into metal. If you want something more classic get either Holy Diver or Last In Line from Dio.
