Well, the standard armor for your merc would be Levi I think. Duress would be good if he doesn't need the DR to stay alive.

And I've never really liked veil of steel on a merc. I assume you're using it for the resists. CoA can have more resist with a couple of Um's and have some DR. Or Andy's Visage, Crown of Thieves, or Vamp Gaze are all good helms because of leech. Gaze has that DR on it as well which is nice.

I assume you have a pair of Amn's in your eth bonehew?

You've got a few choices for armor.

If you're giving up cannot be frozen on your Glad's Bane, you could get it back with a Eternity weapon (310% ed, 7%ll, 20%cb, slows target 33%, CBF).

Or you could always go with a BotD, which people underestimate for mercs. The 400% ed is beautiful, and with the ias, -25% target defense, prevent monster heal, 30 all stats, and max 15%ll, it's a hell of a weapon for a merc.

On the other hand, an Amn Amn eth Bonehew is a good weapon too.
