Metal Arms - Glitch In The System

Draco, the thing with the story holes is this: they didn't elaborate on any of the plot, the entire way through the game. It's not like they just missed a few things here and there. They missed everything. There was no supplemental plot development at all.

The framrate hiccups are very rare, and all that happens is that the action will skip for less than a second and resume to normal.

As for Soul Reaver, there's no way in hell you can be fighting that boss already. If you just started the game, and you're already fighting Dumah, then you're using a cheat device or codes of some sort. You skipped all the way to the 2nd-to-last boss.

I kinda used the soul reaver code, and max life/magic, but that shouldn't take me to the last boss. I just was looking around and jumping and stuff, and next thing I know, I am fighting this boss. I thought he was the first. Maybe I should start over then?

Yeah you probably should. You're not even supposed to have the Soul Reaver by that point. I don't know how you skipped all the way to Dumah's Keep, but you omitted about 85% of the game in doing so.

The guy you're looking for is named Melchiah. He can phase through gates and other solid objects.

The way Soul Reaver is set up, if you use most of the cheats you either get really lost or end up at the end of the game.

Anyway, I'm really glad to hear you say that Jet Force Gemini is your favorite shooter because I always thought this was a way overlooked game. It seems that everyone else I know who played this game didn't like it but I agree with you that it's the best 3rd-person shooter ever made.

As for Metal Arms, I have all three systems so I guess I'll rent it. It sounds pretty good and 45 levels is an awesome amount for a game these days.

The best shooter ever made was VIRTUA COP for the Sega Saturn! Rock on.

It was a pretty overlooked game. Even in Rare fan-circles, it doesn't get much praise. I could never quite understand why either. The art direction was awesome (especially in regard to the character designs), the action and difficulty were perfectly balanced, the bosses were huge and well-designed and there were so many massive worlds to explore. The only glaring flaw in the game was that the second half of it focused too damned much on finding every last Tribal. Granted, there was a lot of new stuff, seeing as how you had to explore new areas with the different characters, but it was still a monstrous chore to find every damned one of those little assholes.
