Which is precisely why we need to stop drilling for oil entirely. We're dependant upon a region of the world that loathes us for our oil, and we have to do harm to our own backyard in order to harvest a paltry amount of oil from secondary sources. The money we put into drilling could be better spent developing alternate fuel sources. I can't possibly understand what this country has against it. We would no longer need the Middle Eastern oil industry for our fuel, it would cost a fraction of what it costs today in order to keep your car running and all the bitching hippies would finally shut their goddamned mouths.
I hear that those people working on sewage-based fuel cells have been making great strides; the question is do you want to pump sewage into your car?
Or how about pure hydrogen? Did you know that a hydrogen flame is so hot that it's not in the visible spectrum? It's what the Hindenburg was full of when it brushed past some stuff and exploded.
