Did you not read it? You're fucking over yourself. By buying from Wal-Mart, who has a very small selection of CDs, you put the specialty stores out of buisiness, who have as many as 12x more choices. In the end, you force the choices of Wal-Mart's product selection team upon yourself, because there will be noone to sell you anything else.
But basically, Raziel and Wetwired are correct. Stupid people see this and say, "Wow Walmart is hitting that bastard Music Industry hard, and I can get cheap CD's!!!! MWUAHHAHAA!!!!" Smart people see this and say, "Wow, the little guy is getting dicked, and now I won't be able to find rarer CD's, especially orgasmically delicious live CD's."
If Wal-mart brought out an online/in store download centre where you can download and create your own CD's, then they might be liked more. The costs may be bad though, or they could do it for $10.
