I mean a client which communicates with the aim server. Something similar to gaim.sourceforge.net

I have, using the official protocol. But you're on your own with the ICBM packets.

Where exactly did you find the official protocol? Did you look off the gaim source? That's what I was planning to do, but if you have a better idea I'd definitely like to hear it.
