How were the two recent winners decided when I didn't even vote?

Just in case it matters, Super Shredder and Fox were my choices.

Well, in your case, it didn't matter because the two other judges already voted for the same people, which already gave them the 2/3 win, regardless of your vote. It just happened that now that you finally voted, it gave them a 3/3 win, not the 2/3 win.

Just a Thought ( slap me if it has been suggested)Couldn't it be set up so that there is a pole in each thread so people can kinda see how the battles are turning out(like how many people vote for one person and how many people are for the other) or would that make it less interesting! I would believe that after a person votes on the pole, then they would explain their vote! which would be easier in judging!

The judging is based upon the quality of arguments, not how many people think a certain character would win. There have been battles in the past where one person has argued against three or four people and won because of his persuasiveness. We used a poll system in the beginning and most of the contributors requested that the option be removed from all future battles. Sorry, no dice.

Definately man. If it was like that, Seymour would've lost the first battle he was ever in. I was like the Lone Ranger against all the pricks who wanted to take him down.

Just think of it this way. Ten people say, "he'll/she'll win" and provide no support. One person argues against it, kinda spicing up the whole thing.

Of course People would post reasons why they would win and judging could be based on what's typed, and the poll would be for outsiders to give a small voice! But I understand where you're coming from. Well, I voted against seymour, but I have never played FFX so that's why. I'm kinda glad he won, though, because Mantis would have stood absolutely no chance in the second round of the tournament. By the way when does round 2 start? I'm gettin' impatient!!
