I figure it like this. You think it'll be good for a while, but after seeing your loved ones die, you start to wish for death. Then you find more and more love interests...and each passing century, you wish you could turn the clock back and just have been mortal...
If you are immortal, does that mean you have like METAL skin so bullets don't kill you? And you can't be cut? Does it also mean if you fell off a cliff, it would be like jumping on a pillow? Could you really deal with the fact that you are the most dangerous human being on the face of the planet? I wouldn't be able to. I would literally use my immortal powers to swim to the bottom of the ocean and bitch slap me some fish and I would discover the deepest parts of this and that. I would have eternity! w00t before I go insane. The relationship aspect is what makes it depressing

Nothing physical changes. You simply can't be killed, your wounds heal regularly, and you don't age at all.
