Use pictures for hp,mp,and everything else. In the hero section, make one for each monster so you can run everything off of variables (yes may be a lot of work, but it is easier than any other way I know) But the ones from that list don't have to be the actual monster, you can just name them and give them the stats you want. Than in battle use a lvl event and so forth.
Hey, why don't I just send you the battle system I made, its a W.I.P. but everything you need is there. You could just modify images and such and give me credit for letting you use it/help you make a battle system or whaever.
