I've tacked a blanket over my window. I don't see daylight until around noon...which is when I usually get up and open my bedroom door, and become blinded from the light coming from our patio door.

That's what Bob does. If he hears a fly or see's daylight he wakes up and stay's awake FOREVER! When I go to bed I have to have some light in the room and my TV on...

its normally light out when i go to bed and still light out when i wake up, 8am- 3pm

I can't sleep unless it's as dark as the inside of a buried coffin. Even the light from my smoke detector keeps me awake, and I can barely even see that without my glasses on.

The Sun burns my iris and changes them to a red color. Maybe I'm the Devil?
