Upgrade Question

I found these Perfect chancies and i wanna know how to upgrade them =p can you plz leave a reply telling me how thanks just found them at nm meph

1 Tal Rune + 1 Shael Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Normal Unique Armor = Exceptional Version of Armor
1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor

ya any questions about upgrading or socketing can be dealt with at arreatsummit in blizzard.com pretty basic for beginners, everything spelled out pretty clearly so u dont make mistakes

Only problem is, these formulas don't work on non-ladder, well the Exceptional to Elite recipe doesn't work

nublet question. When you upgrade, what happens? I read the Arreat Summit paragraph regarding upgrading and I'm kinda uncertain as to exactly what it does. can anyone give me an example? I don't have a spare Lem rune to try this out

They would go from being Chain Gloves to Heavy Bracers. They would still be Chance Guards, however.

Ah. So the defense rating (or damage if it's a weapon) goes up (and probably some requirements, depending on what's upgraded), but the bonuses stay the same. Is that right? if so, thanks Voll!
