least item dependent type of char?
Reply

i was wondering what you people thought was the least item dependent type of character, because when the ladder rests i wanna make a character that can kill effectively in hell without having to have godly gear. i am thinking a hammer pally because it was my first char and he was pretty good with crappy gear on he could take stuff in hell. for example i was using an ancients pledge shield and a war axe with 6 tirs in it.

i would just like to hear other peoples input and what gear they had and were able to kill stuff in hell with.
Think not disdainfully of death, but look on it with favor; for even death is one of the things that Nature wills.

With a high level skelemancer though there are more and more minions. YOu may have 40+summoned, and could be naked. Also Paladins are so easy with all of the auras available. Sort of offtopic but i think that a Poison Necromancer is the most item dependent to be successful.

The one thing about a fire sorc, or any single element sorc is the immunities in hell. Fire sorcs are great for mfing mephisto (hell). Otherwise, they're really weak in hell. I often feel useless being a fire sorc when in groups.

I'm starting a hammerdin today after reading and seeing what that hammer can do. Wowza.
