METHOD 1 :
You need:
D2 installed
2 sets of valid cd-keys (2 SETS! This means 4 differents keys)
Onlyer's tools
1. Copy the entire dir of your installed D2 into another folder (let's call it 2D)
2. Unzip the d2loader into this new folder
3. Create a shorcut to D2loader like this : < F:\2 Diablo\Diablo ii.exe -w -title "II DIABLO" >
4. Use d2-cdkey.exe to change the CD_key of this new 2D. (Put the exe in the directory of the Diablo you want to change., in that case 2D, and run it).However, you can change the key of your first Diablo folder. Since you change only one you're fine: the goal is to have 2 differentes key in the 4 differentes .MPQ files.
5. You can use 'showcdkey.zip' to check the current key used. (Run the exe from the dir of the Diablo you want to check).
6. You can now load the first D2 (in window mode, better to switch) and then the new 2D. Here you are, you can now load 2 Chars in the same game.
7. Say thanks to ONLYER for all the needed tools
8. You can repeat if you have more CD_Key. Up to 4 chars can be loaded with the same computer.

METHOD 2 :
You need:
D2 installed
2 sets of valid cd-keys (2 SETS! This means 4 differents keys)

Also, it is assumed that your diablo 2 folder is c:\program files\diablo ii\
If yours is different, you will have to change the steps below to allow for that.
First, you should have d2 installed with one set of keys.
Next, in the d2-cdkey.zip file, there is a file called "auto-cdkey.reg" right click it and go to edit. Make sure it looks like the following:

Where it has the --- put in your cdkeys that ARE NOT installed already. Then hit save. Take the file "cdkey.mpq" from the d2-cdkey.zip and put in your c:\program files\diablo ii\ folder.
Then go back to the auto-cdkey.req and right click it. Go to Merge. Hit yes on the confirmation.
Next, go to the d2-cdkey.exe in the zip. Double click it and run it for both keys. It may ask you to input cdkeys. Do what it asks.
Last step. Make a NEW shortcut to your d2loader exe with the following in the target box:
"c:\program files\diablo ii\diablo ii.exe" -mpq cdkey.mpq

METHOD 3 :
Ok, to run multiple copies of Diablo II, first download D2Loader from here:

Then read the ReadMe and it will tell you EXACTLY what you need to do to run multiple copies.

How to use it:
Very simply
Install Diablo2 and upgrade to latested version, necessary (you can find the patch on
http://www.blizzard.com)
copy "Diablo II.exe" to your diablo2 directory. necessary
copy "d2hack.script" to your diablo2 directory, not necessary
copy "plugin" directory to your diablo2 directory,not necessary
run "Diablo II.exe" to start the game

Then just run "Diablo II.exe" 2 or 3 or 4 times to start 2 or 3 or 4 copies of D2 at the same time.
You must need 2 or 3 or 4 CD keys to log onto BNet will all 4. Read "d2-cdkey.txt" in that zip to see how to use more than 1 CD Key with D2.
Then after you copy the "Diablo II.exe" to your Diablo II folder you can copy the files to your Diablo II Folder to play with No CD.
"d2char.mpq" and "d2music.mpq" - Diablo II Play Disk
"d2xmusic.mpq" and "d2xvideo.mpq" - Diablo II LoD EXPANSION CD
So, copy thoes 4 files from the CDs to your D2 folder to play without a CD.
