At what point does IAS stop giving benefits? I am using a full Mav set with a cats eye ammy for a total of 90 IAS and was wondering if I should pump it up anymore.
I don't know the exact answer to that offhand - but DiabloII.net has a bunch of little utility files that calculate how much IAS you need to get lower Frameratings for your attacks. If you mess with the utility it lets your check your framerating for IAS's well over 100. It does show the IAS maxing out as far a benefits go - but at 90 IAS you are far from maxing.
With 90 IAS your shooting at roughly 8 FPS which is frames per second. In order to hit 7 FPS with a mat bow you will need 142 IAS. Which, when you subtract 90 from 142, you get 52. Now, im not 100% positive about the speed of Mavs bow as its the set bow and i havent really looked at the WSM on it so im not quite sure, but if its possible get at least 52 more IAS and im sure you will notice a difference.
I would suggest shael the bow, use Nosferatus coil- i think thats the ias belt, socket your diadem with 15 ias jewel, armor with 15/ias, use some good crafted of rare gloves giving at least 20 ias and that should give you enough ias to hit 7 fps possibably, if not then id suggest getting new gear. Mavs set isnt very good.
Right, Mav's set does kinda suck, but I too made one of these back in the day just to make one. I got her to 93 then had an epiphany... "What the fuck am I leveling this sad piece of shit bitch for?"
Hmmm, 90 + 10 (belt) + 20 (Shael Bow) + 2 * 15 (IAS Jewels) + 20 (gloves) = 170.... You should be good.
