Post Battle! Sonic vs. Zero

Arena: Flash Column

In the Red Corner, suspiciously wearing nothing but a pair of red sneakers! Empowered with blistering speed, blinding agility and enough traction to put a Hummer to shame! The master of Mach 1, the blue blur, from Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic!!!

And in the Red Corner, tossing around more hair than than the members of Guns n' Roses, Poison and Warrant combined! Equipped with his Zero Buster arm cannon, Beam Sword and a number of other articles of weaponry to boot! The former leader of the Maverick Hunters, the Luigi to Mega Man X's Mario, from Mega Man X: Zero!!!

Will Sonic be able to outmaeuver Zero's weaponry, or will the heat of the androids' attacks prove to be too much for the wisecracking hedgehog? The Column is locked, the lights are set! It's video game fighting time!

Sonic would simply be way to fast for Zero !
He would just need to run arround to gather speed and run right behind Zero then BANG ! Where is Zero ? Well a little everywhere !

Sonic would then be leaving the battle field saying

Sonic : Ah! Who need more then a pair of red sneakers anyway ?

I dont think that it will be complete ownage like kuja's said. Zero is in fact an android, so wouldnt that mean that his optics are hooked up to a fast processor? Zero would be able to see small movements and target them with his saber or his arm cannon.

Its not like sonic can really attack while running at full speed. I am by no means knowledgeable in sonic games, but from teh few that i have played, hes NEVER attacked when running.

Just look at some of zero's moves. They Involve his little sabre thingy. When sonic got close to him he could just unlease a massive sideward swing of his sabre and easily decapitate sonic.



There is no way a measley hedgehog made out of just skin and bones can withstand those attacks.

The thing is Zero might shoot fast but sonic isnt only fast he is MUCH faster ! Also the speed at what Zero shoot would actualy affect his aim. Sonic is agile and fast he could easily just run away and gather speed, then he would just need to run toward Zero dodging attack from his gun. In no time sonic would get behind Zero, then Spin Ball and Bang ! Zero wouldnt even have the chance to react sonic speed would just be to much and if that wasnt enought he could always repeat since the begening (gather speed run to Zero ... behind or side then BANG).

See your assuming that zero is a slow retard. As you see in one of the animations that i provided above, he has a move that "jets" him in a certain direction. His targeting computer can analize the trajectory in which sonic is coming at him and compute the best evasion course. Your also assuming that sonic is in very close range. FOr zero to not notice him coming from a distance would be improbable. And even if by some miracle sonic gets to him, have you ever tried to punch/jump on hard metal? YOu cant really damage it. Im sure a hedgehog of all animals would do just the same. If zero can take multiple hits from bastards that Sigma had, iim sure a little "peck" by a hedgehog would be nothing.

This is a tough one, but I believe Sonic would win the battle. Why?

Well a few key points, some of you have stated that sonic cannot attack while running, and I find this to be not true at all. While sonic was running circles around Zero, he could begin roll to smash into him, and then bounce while rolling before he hits Zero to go for a critical hit. Now, why wouldn't Zero just slash him to death? All of Zero's attacks have a slight weakness in them. After using one of his saber specials, theres a half second or so where his saber is still retracting. That is when Sonic could strike him. He should have practice at this sort of thing, that slight half second opening is the key to defeating many of Robotnik's creations! If Sonic had access to the fireball special, then in all certainty I think the fight would be over. Not only does the fireball powerup block any projectile attacks Zero could fire from his arm cannon, but Sonic could instantly launch himself at Zero, as a burning ball of fire. The most Zero could do is dash to block. Sonic would have a large advantage in both speed and damage. Even if Zero could 'see' all of his moves, it does him no good unless his chassis can respond fast enough.

And I won't even go into the area of Super Sonic or Hyper Sonic.. heh.

Actually, most of the things sonic fought were robotic.

Anyway, sonic wins because of the above stated reasons. Zero is cool but sonic speed is too much for him.

Aight well here are Sonic ability/attack !

Speed Up : Temp. Speed Boost
Sonic Wind : Attack enemy whit wind.
Time Stop : Temp. Freezes opponent.
Homing Attack (Used mid-Air): Kinda like a spin attack achived in mid-air.
Spin Dash : Well you all know it i think he always had it only diff. is now he can charge up his spin !
Rolling Attack : When standing still or running Sonic
can rolls foward and damages anything that's in his way.
Front Flip : When doing the Rolling Attack Sonic can do a
flip foward.
Slide Attack : When doing the Front Flip Sonic can do a slide
kick foward.
Reverse Jump : When doing the Front Flip Sonic can somersault in opposite direction he was facing when doing the Front Flip. Can be used to quickly change directions or attacking.
Air Dash : Sonic just dash foward a little when in the
air.
Spin Jump : Jump while spinning to attack enemies.
Hyper Slide Attack : A faster, stronger, longer range version of
the Slide Attack. (Does NOT affect speed when used)
Gold Sonic : Temp Invul, Extra Fast , No need to do attack to actualy damage.

I think there really here just enought proof to show how much Zero is totaly fucked.

I will focus more on the Zero in MMX4 since it is when he got his own storyline and everything.

I'll start off with Zero's abilities:
Raijingeki - electrical ground attack.
Tenkuuha - His "violet" saber which can destroy any energy projectiles
Ryuenjin - Upward Fire slash, and it can connect to any move Zero has in Air.
Shippuuga - An attack performed while dashing, very destructive.
Hyoretsuzan - Diving Ice attack.
Rakuhouha - Knee down on the ground sending nine energy blasts to the sides and upward at all angles. Invincible as the attack has initiated.

3 slash combo
While in air, Zero can perform another jump and dash. Also, the spinning Kuuenzan attack is avaliable in air, cutting anything that apporaches.

Sonic would definitely do those spins around Zero, leaving Zero pretty much helpless in reacting to whatever attacks Sonic has in mind for him. Sonic is quick, agile; Zero's slower, but packs more punch. Sonic's just made of flesh, bones, and those ridiculous-looking sneakers; Zero's a badass android with a laser saber pretty much reminiscent of Star Wars Jedi light sabers.

Sonic could pull off those mean tricks at Zero, but he wouldn't be affected easily; he is, after all, an ANDROID. Zero, on the other hand, is slower than Sonic but once he could just get a hold on the blue speed freak, he'll take off a hefty amount of rings or fruits or whatever Sonic uses for his life meter bar, and the hedgehog could just keep on streaking. Eventually, once Sonic gets drained by many of Zero's inconsitent yet very powerful attacks, he'll slow down (assuming that we are in the real world of Zelaron Melee) and eventually Zero would catch up to him and turn him to hedgehog fritters. BTW these are taken into account when Zero gets up close and personal with Sonic in one of those rare times Zero does catch him.

Now, if assuming that these 2 combatants are in a locked room, Sonic would have less room to zoom around in, unless the room comes equipped with those loops so he could catch more rings. But since the room is just closed and tightly packed, Sonic would find it very hard to keep himself at mach 1 or else he'll just crash himself into a wall. If the room is HUGE then Sonic is just WAY too much for Zero to handle as Zero couldn't possibly dash all around the room to silence a hedgehog with a serious need of a haircut.

As with most video games, knowing the terrain and playing to one's strengths is the key to success; so if Sonic has as much space to sing "The Sound of Music" with a zillion football fields to spare, then Zero's completely !@*#&*#(@ up. Then it's the other way around if the room they were fighting in is in an enclosed space (unless Sonic could also climb walls by means of his mach 1 feet aerobics; but then Zero would toast him via his Rakuhouha special).

So I think, given these considerations...anybody would be victorious.

But I'm putting my hopes on Zero.

yea,no one has mentioned it yet,but,if yal dont feel like looking back to the rulebook,this is the arena.

Flash Column - A 200 foot long cylindrical steel silo, about 75 feet in diameter. The column is filled with platforms, wall-mounted flame jets, shock pads, spiked walls, trap-doors and even more deadly devices. The entire structure is held on a giant hydraulic arm, and at three different stations on the inside, the position of the column can be manually switched from vertical to horizontal or diagonal. Each station can only be used once per battle.

Now,i think Zero has the advantage right here.If Zero can flip one of the switches to horizontal,sonic will have to run up the wall just to get to Zero,and if he stops for just a little bit,hes gonna fall.If u know Zer like i do,he can teleport to some places,some times,and he is able to jump/fly in the air temp.the only thing stoping zero is if either sonic flips another switch,or zero hits one of those shock pads or gets hit by the flames.I think Zero has it in the bag

If I remember correctly, it is Knuckles who can climb, and not Sonic.

Anyway, Zero could use the arena to his "advantage" but anyone who has played a Sonic game knows that complex changing and rotating environments are where Sonic is at his best. Sonic's overwhelming speed and agility would surely catch Zero off-guard. As !K_A! stated before, most of Sonic's enemies are robotic so he clearly has the strength to bust Zero open with ease. And if Zero even gave Sonic the chance to go Super Sonic or even Hyper Sonic, he'd be totally fucked.

Im saying Zero, their both melee except for zero he can shoot if im remebering correctly. And sonic has to get close to hit zero right? he could just do a Rakuhouha when sonic is charging up running around, seince its a cyllender right it would just keep going in circles, and eventually sonic would hit it and have to restart his charge up. And then once sonic gets close zero could just do a Tenkuuha and waste the fuck out of sonic. When he gets close, i didnt mention his zero buster either. When sonic attacks its got to be like this,

what im saying is that sonic cant attack while running in circles , therefore he could do a Shippuuga, and that means basicly hes dashing and cutting right through sonics little monkey head.

To me, anywhere sonic goes, hes fucked. Unless he happens to climp his monkey ass up a wall and flip a switch, And i think zero can teleport to some places, yes which would mean he could possibly teleport to switches.

Instantly, Zero fires his arm cannon, but Sonic runs away in the last second and starts to collect some rings around the light pillar. Zero keeps firing, but Sonic successfully evades his shots. Eventually, Sonic collects 100 rings and turns to Super Sonic, the yellow hedgehog with twice as much hairgel as before. Zero is totally oblivious to Super Sonic's powers and decides to load his arm cannon to fire a more powerful projectile. Suddenly, Sonic performs a double jump, causing the entire arena to ignite in a 180 ampere flash, instantly short-circuiting Zero's robotic parts, and incinerating his human parts.

Game over, Zero.
