Er, Naruto hasn't stopped. It's just that episode 52 was the most recently aired one, and 53 will be airing in Japan... well, today I guess. So we can probably get it late Thursday/Early Friday.

As for 26, I remember reading up that most Anime doesn't run as long as conventional cartoons and such, because the Japanese just don't consider that the proper way of doing things, with exceptions like DragonBall, DBZ, DBGT, Naruto, One Piece, and a few others, but the majority of Anime ends a lot earlier.

Which is really too bad, cause a lot of Anime is based on Manga counterparts, which take the story much much farther then the anime goes. Good examples of this are Love Hina and Fruits Basket, as well as Ai Yori Aoshi.

So yeah, I guess they just feel it should be ended sooner then later, for fear that it will start to suck, even though it's all great. =)
