I like this first one more then the second, but I figure I should share them both. (Seeing as how they're the only stuff I have that I know where to find at the moment.)
Conciliatory
From the break of day till the dawn of dusk,
I defend myself from these evil tusks.
Made not of carven stone or steel,
Instead spawned from lies or rumors as you wheel and deal.
Your acts they tend to blind my soul,
A struggle ensues if you will of push and pull.
Past mid-day it becomes the worst,
For vengeance I begin to thirst.
Conniving plans become my toy,
To reap your soul of all its joy.
It's about this time I look inside,
And realize that I must subside.
The night helps to sooth and cool,
Make me realize I played the fool.
Because I wanted to go so low,
Hit you with a similar blow.
As I go to sleep I think and pray,
The higher road is where I'll make my stay.
And although peace between us seems so far away,
I always forgive you ere the break of each day.

The modern world has wonders plenty,
Some guarded by a sleepless sentry.
But the greatest wonders of the world today,
Are those that have nealry faded away.
Secrets once passed down from old to young,
Fade away like a dying sun.
The origins of our very being,
Lost in a past which can't be seen.
Anything lost to time is held tight,
To get it back would be an endless fight,
A waste of effort by every right.
So in the future save your might,
Pass down your memories when the time is right,
Less it be the end of your own shining light.
