If you mean just to shoot little things, all you would need is a nice bolt action or magazine .22 rifle. It isnt too much, but if your going for the big game, the 30-30 would always work nicely, more kick than the .22 of course though.
Brand.. Smith and Wesson or maybe Winchester.
You would need a gun cover and a cleaning kit if you use it alot, a good clean is always nice. And also every couple years I would suggest getting it re sighted, most gun stores would be able to do that for you.
