its NOT possible to go buy any $200 deer rifle,slap a scope on it and go kill someone from 200+ meters away
that is nearly impossible
for someone to be good enough to shoot from well over 500 feet away and hit with the first bullet...that requires at least a good 2 years of training
not only that but military training helps that alot more than most of you think
for him to successfully elude the police and such with all the freaked out people in dc he must have had some sort of covert training...question is what kind of training
a marine could do the sniping...but only a very skilled one
a seal most likely though...because they are trained to not be seen and also how to do one three-round burst kill (straight through the head)

this is exactly what they are looking for. France just reported to INTERPOL (some global intelligence community) that one of their training marksmen went AWOL in the United States back in September and they havent heard from him since then. This is the exact sort of trainig you speak of. as for his familiarity of the area, which is aparrent, he could have possibly befriended someone in the area or done a hell of alot of scouting himself. than again it could just be al qaeda fucking w/ us again
I heard something today about a guy who apparantly wanted some attention. He shot somebody point blank and claimed to be the sniper or something. Not sure about any of the details here nor can I provide a source. May have been just BS for all I know.

Well lets hope all this is over now, I grew up in Montgomery county and one of the first shootings was literally a stones throw from my grandmothers house. Freaky shit.......
