Well, no that's not particularly normal. You don't happen to keep your GameCube in the freezer, do you?

Yeah, mine did the same thing after a few months. Alpha, I wouldn't worry about the cracks. You can drop most Nintendo products from 2 stories up and they'll be fine afterwards.

i doubt you can drop a gamecube from 2 stories and have it unharmed. come to think of it, you can't drop many things and have them unharmed...

I read in a Nintendo Power that a Game Boy game went through the wash, and a N64 game lasted a winter in Alaska. Also a Game boy fell 2 storys. It had some scratches, but it was fine.

I wasn't being literal, AC. But, Nintendo does have a reputation for building the most durable products on the market.

Better than PS2's, my freind sent his in to get fixed, and it took half a year for them to send it back, and it cost something like $150 to fix it.

I dropped my Game Boy from the kitchen counter and the thing holding the batteries in broke... the little thing keeping it secure fell inside the Game Boy...

Think about it, Nintendo's consoles are hard as a rock, so naturaly the portable handheld system could conceivably used as armor on a fighter plane. My original gameboy has endured many falls, and still works like the day i bought it.
