I think bows are faster than crossbows, but not really sure. Increased attack speed is what controls the speed of the weapon you are using. I noticed my WF is faster than my Buriza, but the buriza is "Very Fast Attack Speed" while WF is "Fast Attack Speed". But I am not really certain on this. Just my experience. Give into the dumb. -Pyschostick
