I need you to answer the following question without looking it up, please.

The continents have been moving their location for millions of years and will continue to move. True or false?

True, I believe. Because of subterranean tech-tonic plates? Or did I use the wrong word?

Oh well, question for you: Shouldn't the Title(s) be "Are our children learning" ?

They will continue to move until there is no more heat left in the Earth to create convection currents in the mantle.

Or so me things if I remember natural sciences at all.

So who voted false?

And if it was MJ...well then the rest of us are proving some kind of sociological/educational point.

I voted false because it said millions of years. I do believe the continents have been moving, but the world is not that old. Sorry, I'm a creationist. Ask me to prove it and I'll redirect you to the bible. Faith's a bitch.

LOL.

Wasn't it called 'Pandora' or something? I guess since I can't look it up I may not be entirely correct, But I do remember in class talking about the continents at one point in time being entirely connected, and then a combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes supposively seperated them? Which is also hard to beleive, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

Anyway, I don't think we're going to get significantly more votes.

92.3% are correct.

I don't think anybody anymore is considered a child on these forums; although a few of unmentioned members action's could be considered so.

We need to have a live version of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" on these forums.

I'm not sure I understand.

I wasn't trying to imply anyone was childish or anything like that. It was just a recent poll done on Americans show that only 80% got this right. I was wondering how it would be on Zelaron.

Ah! So that's the reason.

What about the other two? What was the percentage of correct American answers for the other two questions?

Sorry, that was a typo. It's 80%.

Question 2 was 71% and question 3 was 34%.
