How about those Vikings?
Reply

I'm living in Minnesota, and have always sort of liked the Vikings. Somehow they managed to pull their heads out of their asses and are now 7-5, with Brad Johnson coming off the bench. He's a veterean, and has made many connections with his receivers. Thrown 4 touchdowns to Robinson in the past two games, he really is well experienced. Hopefully they will make a wildcard spot, it's doubtful that they'll pass the Chicago Bears. I thought the game on Sunday was funny because the Lions' fans made it feel like a road game for 'em, chanting to fire their general manager. Crazy shit.

I didn't notice this was in the sports forum. I was picturing big burly men with dull blades and helmets. Instead... I'm now picturing big black guys. Not quite as satisfying.

*Ahem* If you don't have anything to say about the topic at hand, why post?

You self-owned your team HoH. Like you said, they won't get pass the Bears. Their defense truly is amazing this year. I'd like to see the Bears vs. Colts in the SB. That'd be a killer game right there.

I've always been a Vikings fan, though. My dad was a big fan and brought me up that way.

The Vikings have made a huge turn around from starting off 2-4, i think. But yea, the lions continue to suck. The hightlight of the lions game this week, was the one guy carrying around a sign that read Fire Millen, and watching him get laid out by a security guy.

if you are talkin about good defenses, then you have to look at the giants as well. But on the bad side, for me at least, the vikings have a win over the giants so they might get the wild card spot if the giants dont win the division. Im a culpepper fana nd am wondering if they take him back with johnson playing so well. Many teams need a qb and would be willing to trade for a guy like him. Namely, the lions, jets, dolphins. 49ers, etc.

Johnson is old. Very old. They can't possibly get rid of Culpepper in hopes of building around Johnson. Even if he is having a good year so far. They still have a bit of climbing left to do before they are in the playoffs. Even if they do make the playoffs, I just can't picture them being a contender to even make the superbowl with the way this season has gone. Any team can lose on any given night (Except the Colts unless the bench some people).

They play scrubs. If they are lucky enough to make the postseason. They will be eliminated in the first game, unless they play the Chicago Bears who are even shittier. The Bears clearly sold their souls to Satan for the winning season they are currently enjoying, but even he doesn't have the power to help them beat a team in the playoffs, let alone any of the AFC teams.

On a side note my San Francisco 49ers are looking fantastic, they are amongst the top 3 teams in the race for Reggie Bush.

Very true. There was rumor going around that Culpepper would be traded to a team like Miami, but there is no way the Viking would risk making Johnson their franchise QB.. Culpepper just better realize that unless he gets hot next year, he will lose his job.
